The process for nominees
What Happens Next When the Nominations Process is Launched
Once the nominations process is launched and live, the system will automatically send an invitation email to the potential candidates who have been uploaded to the system. These potential candidates may either be the same as the election's future voter pool or a specific subset of potential candidates chosen by the election administrators.
Sending Invitation Emails
Invitation Email Dispatch: The software will send an invitation email to each potential candidate. This email will contain important information about the nomination process and a special feature called a magic link.
Magic Link: The magic link in the email allows the candidate to securely log in to the nomination system without needing to create or remember a password. This link is unique to each candidate and ensures a streamlined login process.
Candidate Action Steps
Logging In: When the potential candidate receives the email and clicks on the magic link, they will be automatically logged into the nomination system.
Choosing Positions: Once logged in, candidates will see a list of available positions they can stand for in the election. They can review the descriptions and requirements for each position before making their selection.
Filling Out the Form: After selecting the positions they wish to stand for, candidates will need to fill out a nomination form. This form will include all the necessary fields as defined by the election administrator using the prospective candidate form builder.
Submitting the Form: Once the form is completed with the required information, candidates can submit it. Their submission will then be reviewed as per the election's nomination process, this could include automatic acceptance of the candidates submission, with instant entry into your elections candidate list.
By following these steps, the nomination process is made efficient and user-friendly, ensuring that all potential candidates have a fair opportunity to participate in the election.
